Here's a quick presentation of what is good and what is bad at moepII.
Pro:
| Focus IRC: | The client is built for one thing: IRC. And IRC is chatting and not war. |
|---|---|
| Independence: | It's independant from any platform: No difference between KDE and Windows! |
| Simple UI: | Very simple graphical user interface (view screenshots). |
| Modules: | Missing features can be added with so-called modules written in java (how?). |
| No Colors: | Ignores all mIRC-shit (colors etc.)! |
| Command History: | A small, easy accessible command-history. |
| Logging: | The chat in the channels and queries can be logged. |
| Perform: | An unlimited amount of commands executed on connecting (so-called perform). |
| Accelerators: | Many keyboard-accelerators for quick actions. |
| DCC Send: | DCC is possible with the modules DCCSend and DCCGet. |
| SSL: | SSL IRC connections supported! |
Contra: The whole user experience, I guess.
Of course your opinion about the listed things may be different :-)
